John C. Pfeffer, M.D., FACOG, FACS
Dr. Pfeffer earned his medical degree from the University of Iowa in 1977 and completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Minnesota. He is a member of numerous professional societies including: The American Medical Association, Stanislaus Medical Society, California Medical Association, American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, American College of Surgeons, American Urogynecology Society, American Fertility Society and California Perinatal Association. Dr. Pfeffer served as the director of Sweet Success for many years, a diabetes and pregnancy program, he is the director of OB/GYN services and is currently the Chief of Staff (2016-2017) at Doctor's Medical Center of Modesto. He is an expert medical reviewer for the Medical Board of California and a consultant for Intuitive surgical.
Dr. Pfeffer is the first da Vinci certified Obstetrician/Gynecologist performing robotic hysterectomies, myomectomies and sacrocolpopexies in the Modesto area. He remains in the vanguard of this field by pioneering the first benign gynecological robotic surgical program in Stanislaus County. In addition to frequent lectures, he also trains surgeons in the use of the da Vinci surgical system.
Sean B. Clare, M.D., FACOG
Dr. Clare is Fluent in Spanish. He earned his medical degree at UCLA School of Medicine in Los Angeles, California and completed his residency at Kaiser Permanente/Alta Bates Medical Center in Oakland, CA. He is a Board Certified member of the American College of OB/GYN. Dr. Clare is actively involved in the medical staff and is currently chairman for the department of OB/GYN at Doctors Medical Center. He enjoys teaching and is an Associate Professor with the Family Medicine Residency Program. He serves on several committees including the Peer review committee at Memorial Medical Center.
Dr. Clare’s main interests are minimally invasive surgery including, Total laparoscopy hysterectomy, hysteroscopy, laparoscopy and endometrial ablations. He also focuses on Infertility and High Risk Pregnancies. In his free time, Dr. Clare is a brown belt in Shou Shu Martial Arts.
Irene B. Feaver, R.N., C.N.M.
My initial nurses training was through Biola University where I received by BSN. I did my midwifery training in Scotland and was certified several years later in the U.S. I am a member of ACNM and an educational affiliate of ACOG. I enjoy seeing a broad spectrum of women, not only during pregnancy and birth but also for some limited GYN. I have been with this practice for over 20 years. I am married with two grown girls. Several of my interests outside my profession are photography and quilting.
Fredric Warren Feist, JR. MD
Dr. Feist earned his medical degree in 1987 from the University Of South Alabama College Of Medicine in Mobile after spending two years in Mexico at the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara. He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Beth Israel Medical Center, in New York City in 1991. He moved to Modesto in 2008, after having also practiced in Alabama, Ohio, Illinois, and Pennsylvania. He is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and a member of the American Board of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the California Medical Association, and Stanislaus Medical Society. He is also an Associate of the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynecology in England. He enjoys delivering babies as much as doing minimally invasive surgery, being a certified DaVinci surgeon. He looks forward to re-connecting with all his previous Modesto patients at his new location. His outside interests include cooking, film, and travel with family. He is a Spanish speaker.
Bomnara Yoo DeGroot, N.P.
Bomnara Yoo DeGroot earned her Masters of Science in Nursing from Sonoma State University in 2019. She joined Modesto Arts Medical Group as a Family Nurse Practitioner in July 2020. Prior to attaining her license as a Family Nurse Practitioner, Bomnara completed her Associates degree in Nursing at Modesto Junior College and her Bachelors degree in Nursing at Sacramento State University. She has experience across multiple disciplines ranging from Family Medicine to Emergency Department to Postpartum Services. Outside of work, Bomnara enjoys spending time with her husband and dogs, as well as exploring new cuisine and beaches.
Norman D. Low, M.D.
Dr. Norman Low is a board certified Ob-Gyn physician who received his medical degree from Loma Linda University on a Health Professional Scholarship Program. He did his Internship and Residency at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in Texas. He then provided Ob-Gyn care for 3 years to the U.S. Army, where he was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal for providing outstanding service to the U.S. military and their dependents. After his obligated payback he relocated in 1986 to Modesto, California where he helped start a large single specialty medical group called Valley Fertility Medical Associates. He was a senior partner with that group until 2005, when he rejoined a prior partner of his, Dr. Susan Ways. April 2017 their office was taken over by First Choice Physician Partners, and after his contract with FCPP was completed April 2020, he then joined Modesto Arts Medical Group as a Gynecologist. In 1999 Dr. Low changed his practice to only Gynecology, Infertility and Surgery, to provide and promoted compassionate and high quality health care for women of all ages, always trying to practice the "Art of medicine" , and to treat every patient with dignity and respect.
